The caster summons a war-trained spectral Gryphon or Wind Rider that serves willingly and well, complete with harness, bit, and bridle. Gryphons have a Fly speed of 80 (average) and make Fly checks using either the caster’s Fly skill or the Gryphon’s, whichever is higher, with a bonus equal to 1/2 caster level.

You grip a target with dark force to drag them to the closest safe, adjacent square to you, after which you may make a single attack of opportunity against the target. This ability cannot drag someone into or through damaging terrain, walls, off of a cliff, or likewise. This dragged movement is sudden and does not provoke attacks of opportunity on the target by anyone other than you.

You burn the mana from a single target within range, dealing 1d4 points of mana damage per level (maximum 10d4), will save half. The victim is also dealt an amount of health damage equal to half the mana damage taken. This spell does nothing to creatures without mana.

Siphon Life

You draw the living essence out of one creature within range, pulling it into yourself to bolster your own life force. The target takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level (max 10d6) with a will save for half damage. You recieve a number of temporary hit points equal to half the damage of the spell prior to the victim’s save (the rolled damage), which can’t exceed the target’s current hit point + Con score. These temporary hit points disappear after 1 hour.

Arcane Missiles

This spell creates one magic projectile per caster level (max 10) which then fire unerringly at a target within range, as the spell ‘magic missile’. Each bolt deals 1d4+1 points of force damage on impact, with a will save for half damage.

The instant before you are reduced to 0 or fewer hit points, you may expend a use of your Deathcoil ability to heal yourself as if you’d used Deathcoil on yourself, plus an additional 1d6 hit points. If this healing brings you above 0 hit points you are not destroyed and may continue to act. If you have no more uses of Deathcoil this spell has no effect.
